One of the most significant contributors to Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) was recognised at the recent 2013 Australian Supply Chain & Logistics Awards.
The Future Leaders Award was dedicated to Vince Aisthorpe, a Life member of the SCLAA, the Chairman of the Queensland Supply Chain and Logistics Conference, and Chairman of the ASCL Awards.
Until last week the Future Leaders Award category was the only award not dedicated to anyone in the industry. Designed to provide incentive and recognition to young professionals who are both currently working in and wish to continue their career path within the Transport, Supply Chain and Logistics Industry, the Future Leaders trophy was first awarded in 2009.
David Doherty OAM, National Director of the SCLAA announced that it will now be dedicated to Vince Aisthorpe.
According to David, Vince Aisthorpe has contributed to the SCLAA and its forbears on both a state and a national basis for over 17 years; he will now be perpetually recognised by the SCLAA, and universally by industry, as an inspiring, challenging, courageous and tireless champion of young people and aspiring future leaders.
