Precision tool grinding machine maker ANCA has won the Manufacturing category and the Exporter of The Year awards at the Australian Export Awards, held on Friday night.
The Bayswater, Victoria-based company beat 73 other finalists in 12 categories at the 53rd Export awards. It exports 99 per cent of what it makes.
“ANCA has been a leader in its field for 40 years; in that time it has significantly expanded its export markets and is on track for a record year of growth,” said export minister Andrew Robb.
“They’ve hired 160 new employees to meet the increasing demand for their products, and are proof that Australia has a very healthy future manufacturing high-quality and innovative products.”
The achievement is one of many for the company, which also won the overall award at this year’s Manufacturers’ Monthly Endeavour Awards, as well as the Industrial Product of the Year category for its FX Linear range of products. It also took out the Manufacturing prize at PACE’s Zenith Awards.
