Alliance brings benefits for manufacturers

GE Fanuc Automation, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions, announced yesterday that it and Solution Provider Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) will work together globally to provide the Automotive industry with solutions in the Production Management area.

This relationship will provide significant value to customers looking to integrate their Production Management and ERP systems by leveraging Wipro’s knowledge of GE Fanuc Production Management solutions and their expertise in ERP.

Areas of business focus and expertise include: communicating production engineering inputs to product design to support design for manufacturability, driving enterprise operations efficiency to cut down costs, integrating sales and operations planning processes to facilitate faster customer response, focusing on enterprise-level quality processes to enhance customer loyalty, enterprise application offerings across CAD, CAE, PLM, SCM, ERP and CRM Manufacturing operations management expertise across shop floor controllers, HMI/SCADA, MES and EMI levels

The scope of the agreement covers services, point solution development and joint go-to-market activities.
