Ai Group to hold Environmental Solutions Forums

Champion Compressors will provide insight into maximising compressed-air system energy efficiency at the upcoming series of the Australian Industry Group (AIG) ‘Environmental Solutions Forums’ to be held in select regional areas of Australia.

Champion will share strategies and best practices for reducing environmental impact, highlighting areas where energy savings can be made.

Champion will present at the free forums scheduled for the Victorian centres of Geelong and Bendigo in August, and Wodonga in September. The seminar schedule will also include Port Augusta, South Australia in September.

According to Quentin St Baker, Champion Compressors Regional Sales Manager-Vic/SA/Tas, rising energy prices and strong pressures to reduce operating costs mean it is critical for businesses of all sizes to identify ways to reduce energy use.

“By providing attendees with an educational review of compressed air and its application, we hope to drive an improvement in performance of Australia’s industrial compressed-air installations,” said St Baker.

“By focussing on a number of key areas—such as maintenance, leaks, pressure and appropriate use, along with correct equipment selection—enormous savings can be realised. We feel we have a responsibility to share these strategies with industry.

“These forums are a valuable means for industry leaders, such as local business owners, environmental managers, continuous improvement professionals and local government representatives, to share strategies in an effort to achieve lasting reductions in operating costs, energy use and environmental impact.”

The AIG Environmental Solutions Forums will be held in the following locations:

Geelong, Victoria: 11 August

Bendigo, Victoria: 18 August

Wodonga, Victoria: 1 September

Port Augusta, South Australia: 22 September
