ABB Australia, global power and automation technology group has re-launched its Graduate Program in order to recruit and develop the future leaders of ABB.
The Program provides an opportunity for Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Mechatronics Graduates to join a global company and experience four months overseas, in the first two years of employment.
Further training, mentoring and learning opportunities are also provided. Applications close on the 30 April 2008.

In line with ABB’s global focus on the promotion and development of young talent, our graduate program offers excellent development opportunities within a unique multi cultural environment.”
“Throughout their rotations, graduates are constantly given the opportunity to test their skills and to learn from, and impress business managers across the organisation.
“Our graduates have been given a variety of challenges and accountabilities and the results both for the business and for the individuals so far have been outstanding. Once at the end of the 2 year rotation program our graduates are hot property for the business,” Gaskell said.

According to ABB, benefits of joining the program include:
- Accommodation and travel costs are taken care of when graduates are required to work interstate and overseas saving them the time and hassles of trying to find suitable accommodation.
- Graduates will also be given a laptop and other necessary equipment when they start to ensure that they can travel with ease.

- Safety Leadership Training
- Technical and product specific training courses
- Finance for Business Managers
- Online training courses
Successful graduates in the disciplines of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Mechatronics must be eligible to work in Australia, have demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration abilities, be adaptable to change and display excellent communication skills.
