Mouser Electronics adds Superior Sensor Technology to their range

Application-specific pressure sensor manufacturer, Superior Sensor Technology, is now distributed through global electronics distributor Mouser Electronics.

The differential low-pressure sensors made by the OEM are designed to be used in industrial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning applications (HVAC), as well as for medical equipment. The HV Series, in particular, are high-performing, application-specific, low pressure sensors, and Mouser’s stock include the associated evaluation kits. The HV Series is available in the pin-compatible modules HV110, HV120, and HV210.

This series of sensors achieves the industry’s broadest dynamic range, while maintaining up to 10 times greater performance than other solutions, according to a statement from Mouser. The HV Series sensors can be optimised from a 25 Pa to 5000 Pa pressure range, while maintaining 0.1-per cent accuracy at each selected range. With these capabilities, up to seven individual sensors can be replaced with a single HV series sensor.

The HV Series come with a 16-bit output resolution, 50/60Hz notch filter, programmable bandwidth filters from 0.1 to 10 Hz, a temperature range of between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius, as well as standard I2C and SPI digital interface support.

According to Mouser, the three sensors it stocks from Superior Sensor Technology support variable airflow valves, airflow monitor systems, positive pressure modules and HVAC pressure requirements for differential pressure transmitters.

The Superior Sensor Technology sensors are built with the company’s proprietary NimbleSense technology which allows for the sensors to cover a wide range of pressures, while maintaining optimised performance at each desired pressure range.

Superior Sensor Technology is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and Mouser’s agreement will allow these sensors to be purchased worldwide. Superior Sensor Technology has been manufacturing sensors for industrial, medical, and automotive markets since October 2016. The company is guided by its mission to provide products that are truly impactful to their customers.
