Malcolm Thompson Pumps has added Vortex Pumps to its range of Aquaplus SS Series of submersible sewerage pumps.
The new Aquaplus SS Series Vortex Pumps are ideal for a range of sewerage or dewatering applications where solid particles may be present, including industrial sewage, wastewater and storm water.
Constructed from corrosive resistant materials, including a durable stainless steel motor casing, the pumps are covered by a 2 year warranty and are IP68 rated.
According to Malcolm Thompson Pump, the vortex impeller design reduces the risk of clogging, especially in applications where the liquid has a high content of solid particles such as sand.
The vortex impeller design also provides maximum solids handling of up to 35mm, which reportedly minimises the likelihood of clogging.
