Minimum maintenance in telescopic slides

CHAMBRELAN’S telescopic slides which have been designed for use in industrial applications, require minimum maintenance, except in extreme environments.

Slides are available in steel, aluminium and stainless steel. All slides are reportedly produced with a treatment against corrosion which means it can withstand 250 hours in salt spray.  Additional surface treatments are also available.

The range includes telescopic extensions as partial, total or over extension. Partial extension slides have two beams and are 2/3rds the extension of the closed length.

Total extension slides are a three beam slide with the middle beam offering supplementary extension to enable 100% extension of the closed length.

Over extension slides have four beams.  This slide is capable of 150% extension of the closed length.

All slides are fitted with end stops which limit the extension for both opening and closing to prevent disconnection of the slides and optional locking devices.

Better transportability in ultra-seal packs

Thermadyne has released the CIGWELD Professional Ultra-Seal Vacuum Packs.

According to the company, the Ultra-Seal electrodes remain in perfect ‘factory fresh’ and ‘moisture-free’ condition for an indefinite period provided the vacuum seal remains intact and undamaged.

The electrodes are reportedly hermetically packaged and sealed which ensures they can be used in critical welding applications without the need for pre-conditioning.

The company says this is an enormous benefit to the end-user in terms of savings in both handling and reconditioning costs.

CIGWELD’s Professional Ferrocraft and Alloycraft low hydrogen electrodes, and Satincrome and
Weldall stainless steel welding electrodes are now available in the Ultra Seal Vacuum packaging.

Due to hermetic packaging directly after baking, the end user does not need to precondition electrodes, provided vacuum pack is intact.
