Chinese building materials and homewares company China Lesso Group Holdings is opening its first exhibition space in Sydney. The company, which manufacturers hardware, building materials and electrical equipment, intends to open a 30,000sq m centre in Greenacre in Sydney’s west.

The store, called Lesso Home, has been compared to Bunnings, and will even be located just blocks from a Bunnings store. However, China Lesso Group’s vice president Victor Lin has stated that the store will be a trade-focused outlet, rather than a consumer-focused outlet, bringing more choice to Australian businesses.

“Lesso Home is inspired by the array of premium Chinese design and manufacturing products,” Lin told The Australian.

According to Lin, the company’s products are already widely available in Australia, however the Lesso Home store will bring all of them under one roof.

China Lesso Group intends to open a distribution centre in Auburn, and has mentioned Melbourne as another potential Lesso Home site. The company is also looking to expand its stores to North America, the Middle East and Asia.
