New end mill series

THE solid carbide end mill series PROTOSTAR Tough Guys is ideally suited for high-performance machining of alloyed and hardened steel grades up to 63 HRC.

According to the company, this makes the milling cutters ideal for general mechanical engineering applications, for tool and mould building and the aerospace industry.

Uneven division of the cutting edges makes for smooth running and minimal spindle loads, while 50° helixes ensure trouble-free production and outstanding process reliability.

Designed with different depths of flute and deep chip spaces, these solid carbide end mills offer impressive performance figures due to their high stock removal rate/high machining output coupled with excellent tool stability.

The tools, which enjoy particularly widespread use for slot and pocket milling, are available in two different variants. Variant 1 is suitable for steels up to 48 HRC, while variant 2 cuts steels of up to 63 HRC and is also suitable for dry machining.
