BOC has released the Smootharc DC 185 TIG with HF arc initiation and pulse capability.

The inverter-based TIG welding machine comes with added MMA welding capability for TIG welding of steel, stainless steel and copper.<

Designed to deliver a number of variable functions, such as two pulse frequency options and adjustable down-slope time, the machine also offers portability.

According to the company, the welder is ideal for sheet metal, stainless steel fabrications, pipe welding, root runs where high quality welds are required and welding of reactive materials such as titanium.

The package includes a Smootharc DC 185 TIG welder, a TIG torch and a TIG torch accessory kit, flow meter/regulator, operating manual and electrode holder and work return leads.
