Expanding drive solutions

IN support of Australia's growing manufacturing sector, drives solutions group, SEW-Eurodrive, has announced the company has expanded its NSW industrial gear-unit service facility.

Located at Wetherill Park in Sydney's west, the purpose-built centre has been designed to optimise turnaround times for routine maintenance and emergency servicing of SEW-Eurodrive's Industrial Gear (IG) range of gear units.

The upgrade provides Australian manufacturers with unprecedented access to gear-unit servicing, expertise and spares. 

The company's upgraded gear-unit service facility boasts an expanded workshop featuring an extensive range service tools and equipment, as well as a team of highly qualified and experienced technical staff.

It has been specially designed to fast-track the overhaul, repair and adjustment of SEW-Eurodrive’s complete range of large IG gear units, as well as standard geared motors.

SEW-Eurodrive's large gear-unit range, including the MC, M, ML and X series, finds wide application in the manufacturing sector.

Featuring comprehensive torque-rating options, the IG range is offered with a choice of helical and bevel-helical gears, capable of delivering torques of up to 740kNm.
