Enterprising opportunities kick off in SA
MANUFACTURING in SA recieved a boost yesterday when the new Mawson Lakes Manufacturing Centre was officially opened, giving local businesses access to $20 million of top quality advisory services integral to helping them achieve business success.
Committed to ensuring the creation of more high-wage and high-skilled jobs for South Australians, the Mawson Lakes Manufacturing Centre is part of the Government’s $251 million Enterprise Connect initiative aimed at ensuring jobs now and for the future.
The Manufacturing Centre is the first of a network of nation-wide centres that will open across the country aimed at boosting productivity of local businesses and their ability to compete on a global scale.
All eligible South Australian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can receive a free business review from an experienced business adviser.
SMEs are then eligible for matched funding of up to $20,000 through a Tailored Advisory Service designed for innovative business.
Attendees at the opening included the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Senator Kim Carr as well as representatives from local businesses and industry groups.
